Last Thursday 13th October, a group of students and teachers from the Escola Superior de Disseny i d’Arts Plàstiques de Catalunya (ESDAPC) of the Vic campus (EART) visited the Offsite house and the Kub’s hub of Kub’s located in Lleida street in Vic, inside the Parc d’Activitats Econòmiques of Osona. The visit was scheduled by Kub’s and EART.
Currently, ESDAPC (Escuela Superior de Diseño y Artes Plásticas de Cataluña) is a single multi-campus centre distributed throughout the Catalan territory, a public, official institution that manages the advanced degree in design. The students who visited our facilities are 4th year students of the Degree in Interior Design and more specifically of Housing and Furnishing optional subject. The day proved very interesting to know and understand the new concepts of the innovative Kub’s construction system and all the global aspects of our houses, construction details, interior design expertise, and many other things.
Eduard Vidal, CEO of the company, explained in detail the Kub’s construction method, an alternative system to traditional construction, along with all the advantages, changes and advances in the new way of understanding and building houses in an industrialized way.
Eduard also took the opportunity to give his point of view on current design and interior design, thanks to his great career as professional in the sector and innovation lover and share experiences with future professionals.
To summarize the visit, both students and teachers were impressed and amazed with the construction process, the high efficiency and sustainability of the Kub’s houses and in particular with the change of mentality in the manufacture and the comfort it means for the customer.
